I wrote this first posting in response to a fellow who started a new thread on the topic of "Obama". This first posting mentions Pope Benedict’s upcoming journey to the USA, and implies that this visit is taking place during the Presidential elections to passively motivate Catholics to vote Pro-Life. Then he asserts that he expects the Pope to "stay out of it". This poster writes that Democrats are more compassionate, and praises several attributes of Barack Hussein Obama.
A few members advocating voting Pro-Life quickly jumped in, including myself, but became overpowered by page 9 of the thread.

Voting is an important responsibility. You wrote how compassion is an important factor in your consideration, and identified some of Obama’s positive qualities. Yes, in some environments in this great country of ours, it may have been quite difficult growing up black. And in some cases, overcoming this difficulty could build strong character. You recognized that Obama is getting endorsements from a lot of people, and you are correct, he certainly is. Additionally, you observed how he seems to be able to bring people together. And how he is exceptionally Charismatic. These constituents are all very essential leadership qualities. Things we look for in a great President. And you are very perceptive in identifying these traits.
However, these benefits come at a very high price, a price that is too high to pay. It has been estimated that 45-50 million innocent babies have been slaughtered through abortion. Those advocating abortion would have us believe it is painless, that the fetus is not self-aware. This is one of the reasons God confers Private Revelations. Through these invaluable communications of God, He provides supplementary knowledge and truths. For example, through visions of Sister Agnes Sasagawa in Akita, Japan (full Roman Catholic Church approval directly from Pope Benedict XVI when Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger acting as Head of the Holy Office, as well as many extraordinary miracles witnessed and documented by the local Bishop), God communicated that these abortions are painful to the unborn. Sister Agnes experienced these pains, and those near her said it was heartbreaking. We learned through her, that the unborn babies are aware they are being destroyed, and greatly desire to live. Jesus told the Jews: "Do not think that I will condemn you before the Father. The one who will accuse you is Moses." John 5:45. Through other Private Revelations, we learn that the propagators of the unholy silent massacre will be accused before Our Holy Father, "by a sea of multitudes, further than the eye can see, of these slaughtered innocents. And those accused will be mortified with indescribable terror."
When you vote, consider that; often bad qualities can outweigh the good qualities. And we have to make a moral decision. Please, consider the innocent lives of those who have no voice, but what has been communicated to us through God. And please remember how you wrote that compassion was an important factor.

In response to some general postings of voting:
I primarily attempt to determine who would be the best to protect the lives of the unborn. Abortion is a scourge in which the Apparitions of Akita help us understand its true ugliness. Sometimes people can be frightened by Private Revelations, and perhaps this may be a Holy fear. It is a tool that God uses to communicate supernatural wisdom. He paints for us a magnificent portrait of our own mentality. And for some, particularly the most Holy and innocent, it is a painting that is impossible to look at.

In response to postings supporting Pro-Abortion candidates because they pledged to pull out of Afghanistan and Iraq, citing the casualties of the War on Terror. Those advocating Pro-Abortion candidates stated that even if Roe vs. Wade was overturned it would make no difference, because the legality of abortion would then fall on the States.
From what I am reading, I tend to think that people are having difficulty grasping the numbers. 50 million (total abortions to date) minutes ago it was 1912, the year the Titanic sank. I don’t think we hit 4,000 deaths in the war yet, but 4,000 minutes was only two days ago. The war is like a bucket of water in the ocean as compared to abortion. Compare $4,000 to $50 million, a big difference. Also keep in mind that there are 50 states that can make 50 different decisions, rather than just one big Pro-Death decision.
My partner is Japanese, the two of us went up to the roof of our building and saw the second plane hit the WTC. We watched the whole City become swallowed by a cloud of rubble when the towers collapsed. We watched thousands of our innocent neighbors die in front of our very eyes, and worst of all, for no reason. From his perspective: "Japan had the dignity to fly planes with their own colors and the honor to attack a Military target. These Islamists lack every form of dignity, honor, nobility, pride and principle. Our President, instead of destroying them with nuclear bombs like Hiroshima and Nagasaki, took the noble action of trying to civilize their backward society by installing a cultured democratic government. Instead of locking up Arabs in camps like my grandparents, our President endeavors to ensure that they are treated with the very dignity in which they are completely devoid. And yet people have the audacity to say our President is warlike. How can they be so blind? This attack was far worse than Pearl Harbor. It was unprovoked. They attacked a civilian target, killing innocent woman and children. What were we supposed to do? Nothing?"
From what I am reading, it may take a Great Chastisement by God before people will respect life. I can understand God’s anger and wrath, we are degrading to a point in which even Roman Catholics are placing personal worldly interests over the massacre of innocent lives. That is why: "the good will perish along with the evil, Priests and the sinners alike." Our lack of concern for the unborn warrants it. If the Great Chastisement is worse than the Great Flood, as we learned from Sister Agnes, you could probably count the survivors on one hand. Chances are that none will be an abortion doctor.

In response to postings contending that Roe vs Wade was decided while a Republican President was in Office, Richard Nixon. That the Republican Candidates lie when they affirm that they are Pro-Life and that Obama & Hillary will do more to prevent abortion by pumping money into programs for the poor. These assertions were supported by data taken directly off NARAL and other Pro-Abortion websites.
Hi,
Thank you for providing these statistics, however they can be very misleading. When a President takes office there is a delay of many years before the effects can be seen. In direct contrast to your analysis, Richard Nixon had nothing to do with Roe vs. Wade, this was done by the Supreme Court, which was in turn the result of previous Presidential appointments from years before. There are three branches of Government in this Country, Legislative, Executive and Judicial. The President cannot dictate to the Judicial branch. Whether Republican or Democrat nominees, these people have voting records. If you think they are lying, just resort to the voting track record.
The last time I checked the NARAL Pro-Death America’s main website, this blurb was on the front page: "Sen. John McCain served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1983 to 1986 and in the U.S. Senate from 1987 to present. During his four years in the House, then-Rep. McCain cast 11 votes on abortion and other reproductive-rights issues. Ten of these votes were anti-choice. In the Senate, through 2006, Sen. McCain cast 117 votes on abortion and other reproductive-rights issues, 113 of which were anti-choice." The next President may have the opportunity to appoint enough Supreme Court Justices to overturn Roe v Wade. In their own campaign speeches, both Clinton and Obama said they would promote and fully fund international programs that will promote abortion here and abroad (Hey, more taxes!). This same NARAL website worships the ground Clinton and Obama walk on.
It is not being rich or poor that causes abortion, it is sexual promiscuity. That is the real problem.

In response to a posting asserting that no election has one issue and no problem has one cause. This poster contends that no one has viable alternatives to abortion, and explains how a neighbor was planning on an abortion. The poster concludes that he/she will pray regarding which candidates to support. But seems to indicate leaning towards Pro-Abortion candidates.
Hi,
It is true that no election has one issue, it is also true that some issues are more important than other issues. And yes, it definitely does make a difference if someone has an alternative, protecting the rights of the unborn. If the rights of the unborn were protected, murdering an unborn child would no longer be an acceptable birth control option on the table. People wouldn’t be planning an abortion like your neighbor. Naturally, if the unborn had a right to live, people would take their lives more seriously. These are real human lives, when we go to Heaven, they will be there for eternity with us. Murderers will be doing penance in Purgatory or even condemned to hell do to their very testimony.
Well, continue to pray for knowing how God wants you to vote, but you should already know what His answer would be.
